Martin Kind
Director of Innovation and Technology
Martin leads the technical department, responsible for innovation, data management, design, and implementation of IT and modeling processes. A civil engineer with a major in hydraulics (University of Buenos Aires) and a specialization in energy (ITBA), he has an extensive professional career in the energy sector in hydraulics, upstream oil and gas industry, and energy modeling, with more than 20 years of experience. He worked in Argentina for the National Institute for Water (INA) the Regional Climate Lab (CIMA-UBA), and in Denmark for the Danish Hydraulic Institute (DHI). He was involved as a researcher of hydro-environmental and climate change projects related to international programs (START, TWAS, UNEP, UNFCCC). He also has more than 15 years of experience working in the private energy sector, where he served in many different technical leadership roles for large international companies (Tecpetrol, Petrobras, Sinopec, Oxy, and YPF). Martin was a member of the Board of Directors of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE Argentina), and has taught courses at the School of Engineering of the University of Buenos Aires.
